Mexico Puerto Morelos: Photo Diary

For the holidays I traveled to Mexico. Surprisingly my first visit to Mexico, considering it is a neighboring country to the U.S, and now I totally understand the thrill of it all. Mexico has a lot to offer for everyone, especially if you are that person who wants to have it all.

  • Beaches - yes, plenty of beaches for you to frolic on
  • Art - Umm hello Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera
  • Chipotle - as in the spice or the fast food restaurant? Well there is authentic Mexican food and let's just say they don't hold back on the guacamole and won't skim on the chicken either. But really theres more to Mexican food than tacos
  • Now what about visiting the 7 Wonders of the World? - Yes, Mexico even has that too Chichen Itza (pictured above)
For the first half of my trip I stayed at a resort in Puerto Morelos, near Cancun. In the past I often thought of resorts as an enclosed commercialized area that shows a fake facade of the country, and although that may be there can be a positive side to staying at a resort. Oh the possibilities a resort can bring to you:
  • Relaxation - being the most important one, working all year long you simply need to treat yo self
  • The abundance of food and alcohol- Room service 24/7 and it's all included. We're talking about lobster tail, chicken tikka masala, crepes being freshly served at 4pm, because why not?
  • Spa - If you have time to visit your resort's spa, go for it. Book it during the late afternoon so you can end your day with a relaxing message.
  • Day Trips - your resort will help you plan some exciting day trips, ranging from water activities to seeing historical ruins.
Here's some pictures of the first half of the trip:

Managed to be only somewhat healthy for breakfast

Had a little photoshoot...just having fun

Will be sharing more of my trip of Mexico this week!
