The food of Mexico: Photo Diary IV

You can't not have a margarita while in Mexico...

If you have read my previous posts on Mexico then you probably are aware on my thoughts on the food of Mexico...well let me remind you once again: You simply can not have a bad meal in Mexico...and if you need visual evidence then I am here to provide you that.

Viewers beware, you might be salivating at the end of this post...

After a morning spent at the Anthropology Museum and walking through Mexico City's grand parks (very similar to Central Park in New York) we decided to explore the neighborhood of Condesa. Condesa is like Mexico City's version of Williamsburg, Brooklyn; blends of faded glory with gleaming hipness. If you have an appreciation for architecture then stroll around the neighborhood and admire their Art Deco architecture, this is suppose to be one of the best preserved Art Deco neighborhoods in the world.

Stopped by a seafood restaurant for lunch and simply had a paradise of culinary pleasures, with ceviche, oysters, and fried snapper.

    These oysters were huge!

                      Must finish every last bite...

                      Simply Satisfied

A few extra photos of other lovely meals I enjoyed:

Grasshopper salad, not bad, actually tasted like a Cheez-It

Had to try the varieties of tequila...it would have been rude if I didn't.

Well Mexico, thank you for such a fabulous time and I do hope to come back soon!

What are some exciting food you would like to try this year?

  14. Mexican food is my favorite food in the world. It looks so delicious! I live in Belgium and Belgians generally don't know how to make Mexican, so I've had terrible food before.

Hopefully I'll be able to visit Mexico at some point!
